Teppei Ino started his analyst career at the bank (The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ) in April 2010. He is stationed in Singapore from April 2013, after 3 years experience as an analyst for AEAN and Oceania currencies.
From January 2022, he acts as Tokyo Head of Global Markets Research.

Career History and Recent Activities

Toshiyuki Suzuki started his economist career at Sanwa Bank, which subsequently merged under MUFG Bank. He was stationed in London between 1993 and 1999, and then New York from 2001 to 2008. An expert in monetary policies, Suzuki is a well-known U.S. Federal Reserve Board watcher in Japan.

Lin has had more than 15 years of professional experiences working in private financial institutions. Lin joined MUFG from a Chinese wealth Management company, where she was Chief Economist and Head of Asset allocation strategy research. Prior to that, she held various senior research roles, among others, at Deutsche Bank HK, CICC HK, and Wellington Asset Management in the USA.

Lin holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the Georgetown University, and a Bachelor degree in Hydraulic  Engineering  from Wuhan University in China.

Career History and Recent Activities

Derek Halpenny joined Global Currency Research in London in May 1998 as a currency economist following four years of trading. In April 2008 he was promoted to European Head of Global Markets Research and has been responsible for developing the London Global Markets Research platform in support of MUFG Bank's global business. Derek is a regular on CNBC & Bloomberg TV and is widely quoted in the financial press.

Derek Halpenny obtained a master's degree in Economics from University College Dublin in 1992 and is a native of Dublin, Ireland.
