MUFG N0W in Sawarak: Unlocking green power collaboration in Asia 20 March 2025
Industry and business leaders recently came together at the MUFG N0W (Net Zero World) conference in Malaysia. This year’s event was hosted in Kuching, Sarawak, and provided a unique opportunity to explore the opportunities arising from the Malaysian state’s focus on renewable energy, including large-scale hydropower and the growing adoption of low carbon technologies.
During the event, experts and policymakers discussed the future of green hydrogen, advancements in renewable energy technologies, and the importance of strategic public-private partnerships in building a more sustainable and economically viable future.

Motohide Okuda, MUFG Malaysia’s Chief Executive Officer and Country Head of Malaysia said: “This latest MUFG N0W is a compelling showcase of how we are well-positioned to connect the best of Japan’s technological capabilities with Malaysia’s abundant green energy resources to unleash exciting, new opportunities to drive growth. We are fully aligned with Sarawak’s Sustainability Vision 2030 and will continue to facilitate public-private partnerships to create a more inclusive and brighter future for Japan, Malaysia and Asia.”

MUFG Malaysia is deeply grateful to the distinguished industry leaders who joined us and contributed their expertise.
