As the Philippines assumes the ASEAN Chairmanship, discussions emphasized the importance of strengthened public-private collaboration to accelerate investment, enhance energy resilience, and unlock opportunities that support long-term economic development.
We were privileged to hear keynote perspectives from Undersecretary Mario Marasigan of Department of Energy and Undersecretary Michael Peter Alejandro of Department of Finance, who shared valuable insights on the country’s priorities in advancing energy security, resilience, and sustainable growth. The forum also featured a leadership dialogue with Assistant Governor Pia Bernadette Roman Tayag of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, highlighting the critical role of the financial sector in enabling the Philippines’ transition, resilience, and adaptation agenda.
This year’s forum held special significance as it marked the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between MUFG and Security Bank Corporation—a decade of collaboration dedicated to connecting clients with capital, expertise, and opportunities that support the country’s development and transition goals.
From renewable energy financing and sustainable finance innovations to policy dialogue and cross-sector collaboration, the discussions reinforced a common theme: meaningful progress requires collective action.
