In 1961 the former Bank of Tokyo opened the Chicago Representative Office, which became the Chicago–Tokyo Bank in 1990 and merged with Mitsubishi Bank in 1996 to become the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (Chicago).
Today MUFG Bank, Ltd., Chicago Branch has more than 80 employees, including two co-general managers, one for U.S. corporate customers (with more than 150 top U.S.-based customers) and the other for Japanese corporate customers (covering 13 states in the Midwest and with more than 700 customers). The branch has representative offices in Kentucky and Minneapolis.
We offer banking services to corporate customers in the Midwest, the heart of manufacturing and agriculture in the United States, and we focus on customer satisfaction.
