January 16, 2015 --- It has been brought to Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Malaysia) Berhad (BTMU Malaysia)’s attention that there was an illegal website unlawfully using the layout and images similar to the registered BTMU Malaysia’s website. It was a fake, a scam to perpetuate fraudulent activities and intended to mislead our customers, and has since been shut down. However, moving forward, BTMU Malaysia would like our customers to be aware of such scams in the future.
BTMU Malaysia would like to inform that we have no policy of sending e-mail that contains link to click in order to access the BTMU Malaysia’s website or any other banking system. If any customer has logged-on or keyed-in any confidential information on the fake website, they are advised to report it immediately to the relationship manager accordingly.
BTMU Malaysia would like to advise all customers to NOT reveal nor disclose your confidential information to anyone at any time online or on the telephone without validating its authenticity.
BTMU Malaysia would like to clarify that the official and registered website for BTMU Malaysia is only available at the following URL address http://www.bk.mufg.jp/global/malaysia .
