|Overview||BTMU’s history in Spain began in March 1971 with the Madrid Representative Office of predecessor company the Bank of Tokyo, which became a branch in 1980. Predecessor company the Mitsubishi Bank opened a representative office in Madrid in 1979 and converted it to a branch in 1986. Both branches merged in 1996, and became the BTMU Madrid Branch in 2006 with a sub-branch in Barcelona.
Currently about 65 staff members work at the branch.
As the only Japanese bank with a branch in Spain, and with more than 40 years of experience, we provide our corporate customers with a wide range of banking services.
